

Allison Roda
Allison Roda Ph.D. is Assistant Professor of Education in Molloy College's Educational Leadership for Diverse Learning Communities, Ed.D. program.
Dr. Roda is a white professor, researcher, and mother of four whose own experiences navigating the segregated, New York City school system inform her research interests on urban education policy, educational stratification, families and schools, school integration, and qualitative research methods. She is the author of Inequality in Gifted and Talented (G&T) Programs: Parental Choices About Status, School Opportunity, and Second-Generation Segregation (Palgrave Macmillan, 2015). Her current project examines New York City advantaged parents' efforts to disrupt educational inequity through a G&T phase out proposal.
